HEALTHCARE FOR THE HOMELESS

To create a safe, trusting, and respectful environment for serving homeless people.

La Familia Healthcare for the Homeless is a federally funded project providing primary medical care, mental health, substance abuse, dental care, case management, transportation, and outreach services for homeless individuals in Santa Fe County. Healthcare for the Homeless is the result of cooperation among area nonprofits that are already dealing individually with issues related to homelessness. The collaborators include St. Vincent Hospital, St. Elizabeth Shelter, Life Link/La Luz Shelter, Youth Shelters and Family Services, Esperanza Shelter for Battered Families, St. John’s Soup Kitchen, Community Guidance Center, and the Salvation Army.
