TEEN PARENTING
		Children having children is a nationwide problem. It’s no different in Santa Fe. The Teen Parenting program at La Familia is run in collaboration with Catholic Social Services. Classes in “Life Skill Parenting Techniques” are offered weekly: one week in English, and the next week in Spanish. Teens and young adults are given instruction in CPR for infants and toddlers, safety, nutrition, poison control, well-child care, immunizations, developmental stages of infants, how to play with a baby, how to interact with an infant, community resources, dad involvement, parent effectiveness skills, discipline without violence, and birth control.
