Screenings for breast and cervical cancer are typically performed during a patient’s yearly gynecological exam. In the event of an abnormal result, the patient will be contacted by the health-education Promotora to schedule further diagnostic exams or treatments.

Females over the age of 50 are encouraged to obtain an annual pap smear and mammogram.
