I was born and raised on the tiny island of Guam, a Pacific territory of the United States. The hospitable nature of the people, local food, and music of the island is an experience like no other! I attended the University of Guam for undergraduate education and Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio for medical school. My path to medicine is fueled by my desire to return home to my island and serve my people. As a former obstetrics and gynecology resident, I had the opportunity to form meaningful relationships with my patients. I was present during some of the most intimate moments of patients' lives and, most importantly, I was afforded the opportunity to advocate for women's health. As a family medicine physician, I will be able to continue the amazing work that initially drew me to the field of obstetrics and gynecology while at the same time broaden my scope of practice to include pediatric through geriatric populations. I will continue to incorporate my passion for community health and preventive medicine. I am honored to have been accepted into this field. Outside of medicine, my interests include spending time with my husband and teenage daughter. As a family we enjoy eating at all the local restaurants and going to farmers markets and museums. I also enjoy crafting and crocheting.
