Through my own experiences as a patient, I have seen firsthand the flaws in our healthcare system. During clinical rotations, exposure to the primary care and FQHC setting inspired me to pursue advanced clinical training after graduating pharmacy school. I moved to New Mexico to complete PGY-1 residency training focused on HIV, hepatitis, diabetes, and chronic disease management. Working with individuals from all walks of life has continually reinforced one fundamental belief: an informed patient is an empowered patient, and empowered patients are healthier patients. As a provider, my goal is to bridge healthcare gaps by delivering the education and support patients need to take control of their health.
