Being an immigrant, I didn’t have healthcare growing up as my family didn’t know how to get access and there was social, language and cultural barriers. As I grew up, I realized I was not the only one who had those barriers and see the importance of access to healthcare. I strive in providing excellent diabetes education because knowledge is one of the most essentials tools we can have to make lasting healthy choices.
