My journey to becoming a Family Nurse Practitioner was deeply influenced by my Hispanic heritage and my experience with healthcare in the hispanic community. As a bilingual Spanish-and-English speaking provider, I understand the challenges that language, and financial barriers can create when accessing healthcare. I became a Nurse Practitioner because I wanted to give back to my community and help ensure that individuals and families receive compassionate, high-quality care regardless of their financial circumstances or ability to speak English. My care philosophy is centered on treating every patient with dignity, respect, empathy and cultural understanding. I strive to build a trusting relationship, listen to each patient’s unique concerns and provide patient-centered care that empowers individuals to take an active role in their health and well-being.
