Sharon Tison

Sharon retired in 2019 after 25 years as VP for Finance and Administration of the School for Advanced Research and continues there as its part time Internal Auditor.   She first served on La Familia’s board in 2010-2014 and returned in 2022.  Her interest in public health was inspired by her husband Gene’s time as an ICU nurse at Christus St. Vincent hospital. She is proud to lend her non-profit accounting knowledge to La Familia.  Sharon has a BS in Mathematics & Education from NC State University.
