Dr. Emma Goodstein is originally from Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Emory University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Family Medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson. There, she was chief resident and completed tracks in health care disparities, integrative medicine and global health. During residency, she was the recipient of the AAMC Community Service Award for her work with asylum-seekers. She enjoys speaking Spanish, which she learned in Chiapas, Mexico where she spent a year working with the organization Partners in Health prior to medical school. She also has a particular interest in reproductive health including obstetrics and transgender/gender-affirming care.
