Maternal health impacts infant health. Our family medical providers, obstetrical specialists, nurses and health education team provide up-to-date prenatal care to help ensure the health of you and your baby. Our goal is to decrease the need for C-section deliveries, deliver babies’ with healthy birth weights, and increase the number of women entering prenatal care in the first trimester of pregnancy.
We offer an extensive prenatal program that provides both individual and group sessions in both English and Spanish. We teach the importance of good nutrition, adequate exercise, avoiding harmful substances, recognizing the signs of problems with the pregnancy, and how to get the care you and your baby need. Our education team includes nurses, behavioral health specialists, a certified dietitian, a lactation specialist and health education community health workers or “promotoras”.
